North Ridge Deck Recovery

This project began after a failing sonotube was discovered during excavation to have cracked in half, compromising the support for an existing deck post. The damaged sonotube was removed and replaced with a reinforced concrete footing designed to provide a stable foundation capable of accommodating future settling of the previously installed rock garden.

The deck was then rebuilt using new pressure-treated joists and red cedar decking, providing both durability and a clean, finished appearance. Douglas Fir railings were installed along with a small step to improve accessibility and functionality.

All excavation and site work for this project was completed by Kingdom Timber LLC of Wolcott, VT, whose craftsmanship and precision helped ensure a successful foundation repair and deck restoration.
